The Ministry of Education's national language dictionary contains many words that are considered as guidelines for usage. Recently, it was found to include the ellipsis 'dot dot dot', causing a stir. The controversy arose when it was discovered that this term was recorded in 1998. The National Academy of Education explained that the term 'dot dot dot' has been included since 1998 in the 'Revised National Language Dictionary', mainly for language researchers, while recommending the 'Concise National Language Dictionary' for primary and secondary school teaching and general language use.
