The domestic egg price has dropped for the fifth consecutive time, hitting a new low in nearly 3 years, with farmgate prices falling below 30 yuan and wholesale prices dropping from 40 yuan per catty to 37 yuan. In response to this, New Agricultural Technology has taken the lead by announcing a reduction in all feed prices starting immediately, hoping to alleviate costs for egg farmers. The move comes as the Taiwan Poultry Association and Feed Association were planning to coordinate a feed price adjustment today, with New Agricultural Technology making the first move by reducing feed prices by 0.4 yuan per kilogram. The egg industry hopes for feed price reductions.
