Egg prices in the U.S. have risen 8.2% month over month and 37.5% year over year, partly due to seasonal demand and a disruption in supply caused by avian flu outbreaks. In November, a dozen large Grade A eggs averaged $3.65, a notable increase from previous months. While egg production dropped by 4% compared to last year, alternative costs for protein sources, such as steak, remain higher, potentially sustaining demand for eggs despite the price hike.
