Eighty-Two Percent of Citizens Support Holding Concerts at Taipei Dome, Just One Step Away from Success

Reported about 1 year ago

According to a recent survey conducted by the Taipei City government, 82% of citizens support the idea of holding large-scale concerts or cultural events at the Taipei Dome. However, the final hurdle lies in the Ministry of the Interior's approval, as the current renovation of the dome does not meet certain building regulations. Despite this, the majority of citizens believe that hosting various large events at the Taipei Dome will boost tourism and related industries in Taipei City. Nearly half of the respondents also expressed confidence in the dome's crowd evacuation and disaster prevention plans. A proposal by the Kuomintang faction aims to seek clarification from the Ministry of the Interior, potentially allowing the city government to use local ordinances for safety assessments, paving the way for successful events at the Taipei Dome.
