In recent hot weather, four hikers went hiking together, and on the last day, a 66-year-old man surnamed Yang collapsed on the Wulalami Trail in Hualien due to suspected heat stroke. Despite facing difficulties in the high terrains, rescuers managed to bring him to a safe location with a combination of on-foot and aerial operations. Unfortunately, he was already unresponsive when rescued and was pronounced dead in the hospital. This incident serves as a reminder for outdoor enthusiasts to be cautious and prepared in extreme weather conditions.
