The issue of priority seats often stirs up discussions, as seen in a recent incident on a Taipei MRT where an elderly woman in her 80s pressured a young woman sitting on a 'priority seat' to give up her seat. This led to a confrontation where the young woman broke down in tears and allegedly hit a pole, causing bleeding. Lawyer Chen Youxin lamented that the priority seat issue should not turn into a conflict zone. He emphasized the need to promote a new consensus that anyone in need should be able to sit on priority seats, aiming to create a more inclusive and understanding society.
