In an incident on June 29, 2024, at 3:57 a.m. at Juguang Lake in Kinmen County, an elderly man was found face down floating on the lake, with no signs of breathing or heartbeat when rescued, indicating clear death. The man, surnamed Hong, was discovered without vital signs and a damaged motorcycle near the lake's guardrail. The exact cause of the accident is still under police investigation.
