In a recent incident of priority seat disputes, sparking attention on the topic, an elderly man surnamed Li in Taoyuan asked a young woman surnamed Wang to give up her priority seat on a train, which led to a conflict where the man angrily insulted her calling her 'inhuman' and 'worse than pigs and dogs'. Wang filed a complaint against the man, resulting in a court sentencing him to 10 days in jail for public insult and a fine of 10,000 NT dollars in the first instance.
