An 83-year-old man surnamed Zhang went missing near Toucheng Daxi Elementary School in Yilan on June 22 while camping with his family. Despite search efforts with drones and coast guard boats, his body was discovered on the Nanfang'ao beach 22 nautical miles away, sparking speculation that he had fallen into the sea at Honeymoon Bay. The body, which had floated due to prolonged exposure to seawater, was identified by family members and sent for further examination by the authorities.
