In New Taipei City, a 64-year-old delivery driver was recently scammed out of his life savings of 200,000 by a fake police phone call. The swindlers, noticing his eagerness, convinced him to help catch fraudulent agents and to mortgage his properties totaling 4.2 million. Luckily, his family intervened and alerted the authorities in time to save his property from being lost. Shockingly, the accomplices included staff from a loan company and false agents, all part of an elaborate scam orchestrated by the fraud ring.
