In New Taipei City, a 72-year-old man got into a physical altercation with a 66-year-old woman on a bus after being unhappy with a cart blocking the bus aisle. He pushed the woman to the ground, attempted to leave the scene, was stopped by a male passenger, and later accused the male passenger of assault. The incident was stopped by the bus driver and other passengers until the police arrived. The woman decided to press charges of assault, while the elderly man insisted on pressing charges against the male passenger who intervened. The male passenger, a recent graduate planning to pursue graduate studies, got caught in the situation unintentionally and suffered minor injuries defending himself. The authorities are investigating to determine the appropriate charges based on the circumstances.
