A case of a senior citizen trapped in a drain in Wuri District of Tainan for 5 days was reported. The elderly man was heard calling for help, and with the assistance of firefighters, he was rescued by breaking open the road surface with tools after nearly two hours. The man was weak but conscious upon rescue, expressing that he had been trapped for 5 days. The exact cause of his entrapment is still under investigation.
