Elderly Woman Lost 150 Kilometers, Police Helped Her Return Home and Reunite with Family

Recently, a bus driver parked the vehicle across from the Jieshou Road Police Station of Zhongzheng First Sub-Bureau in a hurry, waving for assistance from the police. He pointed to a confused elderly woman in need of help in the vehicle. Officer Yan Xincheng promptly approached and discovered that the woman was a missing person who had strayed at least 150 kilometers from home. She was brought to the station for care and eventually reunited with her family. The woman, nearly 70 years old, had traveled from Taichung to Taipei alone on Dragon Boat Festival day and was helped by the police and bus driver after showing signs of confusion during the bus journey. The police reminded the public to pay attention to the whereabouts of their elderly family members, have someone accompany them when going out, and leave emergency contact information in their clothing or belongings for assistance in case they get lost.
