On July 3, 2024, at 10:55 PM, the electronic detection dog 'Wafer' made a significant contribution as the Kaohsiung police cracked down on a gambling money laundering site. Acting on a tip-off, the police, along with various units, formed a special task force to investigate and eventually raided and uncovered 3 locations involved in illegal activities. Through the use of the electronic detection dog 'Wafer', hidden electronic devices were found on-site, providing crucial evidence for the case. The criminal group had been laundering money through online gambling and transferring funds through foreign accounts, with an estimated amount exceeding 4 trillion Vietnamese dongs, approximately 5.1 billion New Taiwan dollars, in the past six months. The group recruited young individuals for easy, high-paying jobs to facilitate their illegal activities. Law enforcement authorities continue to track down and disrupt criminal organizations to maintain social order and security. #KaohsiungCriminalInvestigationBureau #TechnologicalCrimeInvestigation #GamblingMoneyLaundering #ElectronicDetectionDogWafer #IllegalTransfers #OnlineRecruitment
