Electronics Industry Full of Orders, Overtime Hours Increasing

According to the latest data from the Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics, the average overtime hours for workers in the electronic components manufacturing industry in April reached 24.4 hours per person, which is a new high in nearly 14 years, indicating a strong growth in related supply chains due to the benefits of AI opportunities. Despite a slight decrease in the number of employed workers in the manufacturing industry in April compared to the previous month, with 842.1 million employees in total, the average overtime hours still exceeded 16 hours and have returned to pre-pandemic levels, showing stable growth momentum in the domestic manufacturing sector.
