In New Taipei City, a substitute principal at an elementary school was reported to have engaged in inappropriate behavior, allegedly physically punishing students and being absent from duty without reason, drinking alcohol in the office, and even witnessing misbehaving students bullying special education students without intervening. This situation, which lasted for about a year, led to the substitute principal being reassigned after parents and students could not tolerate it anymore. The education bureau has responded by removing the substitute principal from their original position.
