Eli Lilly Requests US Government to Suspend Drug Price Negotiations

Eli Lilly has urged the U.S. government to pause negotiations on prescription drug prices, according to Bloomberg News. CEO David Ricks stated at the JPMorgan Healthcare Conference that the Inflation Reduction Act needs adjustments before negotiations continue. The outgoing administration plans to announce more drugs for negotiation before leaving office, while the IRA is set to significantly reduce prices for certain Medicare drugs starting in 2026.
