Eligibility of Active Military Members for VA Loans

Reported 2 days ago

Active-duty military personnel can obtain VA home loans after serving for a minimum of 90 consecutive days, or 181 days during peacetime. They are required to live in the home as a primary residence for 12 months, although this rule is relaxed for deployed members. To secure a VA loan, applicants must meet credit and income requirements, obtain a Certificate of Eligibility, and work with a trusted real estate agent, especially if purchasing from overseas.
