Ellison Pleads for Leniency in FTX Fraud Case

Reported 28 days ago

Caroline Ellison, former CEO of Alameda Research and ex-girlfriend of Sam Bankman-Fried, urged a judge to spare her from prison after pleading guilty to fraud related to the $8 billion theft at the FTX exchange. Her lawyers argued that she deserves leniency for cooperating with prosecutors to build a case against Bankman-Fried, who was convicted and sentenced to 25 years for his role in one of the largest financial frauds in U.S. history.
