Billionaire Elon Musk expressed concerns over cybersecurity on June 10, stating that if OpenAI integrates into Apple's operating system, he will prohibit his companies from using Apple devices like iPhones. Musk criticized Apple's collaboration with OpenAI, accusing Apple of not being smart enough to develop its own AI while claiming to ensure OpenAI protects user security and privacy, suggesting Apple may sell user data to OpenAI. Musk had previously sued OpenAI and its CEO Altman in March, founded his own startup xAI to challenge OpenAI and develop an alternative to ChatGPT, and secured $6 billion in funding for xAI with a valuation of $24 billion in total. Apple and OpenAI have not responded to Musk's remarks.
