Emergency at Kaohsiung Xiaogang Airport: False Alarm of Ceiling Collapse Confirmed to be Just a 'Pearl Board' and Removed

On June 15, 2024, a piece of the pearl board material fell in the departure hall of the international terminal building at Kaohsiung Xiaogang Airport, causing a noise and alerting passengers. Fortunately, no one was harmed as the lightweight material did not injure anyone. The airport has since requested the responsible vendor to remake promotional signage and thoroughly inspect similar signs to ensure they are securely fixed. The incident caused a temporary scare but was quickly resolved.
