Emirates Airline President Tim Clark urged Boeing to select a strong leader with both engineering and business acumen to navigate the deep overhaul needed to address the recent crisis at the U.S. aerospace giant. Clark emphasized the importance of strong leadership to restore confidence and address safety and industrial issues, stating that the process could take up to five years. Emirates, a major buyer of long-haul jets, is eagerly awaiting the delivery of the delayed Boeing 777X. Clark also mentioned the need for timely aircraft deliveries and expressed interest in meeting with Boeing's recently appointed planemaking chief, Stephanie Pope, to discuss the way forward.
