A 24-year-old man on the Taipei MRT suddenly became emotional upon seeing the word “China” on a woman's phone screen, shouting about the June 4th incident, and when bystanders intervened, he attacked them with an umbrella, causing injuries. Metro police and security arrived, subdued the man, and took him into custody. The incident occurred on the red line towards Daan from Tamsui, with the man shouting and brandishing an umbrella, only to be quickly subdued in five minutes. Taipei Metro emphasizes continued attention to passenger behavior to prevent further disruptions and minimize harm.
