Enhanced Control for Pollution Reduction and Carbon Reduction as a Common Benefit: Enhancing Regulations for Air Pollution Prevention by Improving Resource Cycling Fuel Users

Reported about 1 year ago

On June 20, 2024, the Ministry of Environmental Protection in Taiwan further announced three draft amendments to strengthen the grading management of resource cycling fuel, outline the types of fuel users, and specify the high-standard air pollution prevention equipment that should be installed to control air pollution emissions resulting from using resource cycling fuel. The amendments aim to improve air pollution prevention for resource cycling fuel users by enhancing grading management, process operation control, and emissions control, including phases such as redefining standards, raising process equipment specifications, and setting stricter emission standards for toxic substances and dioxins. The regulations are part of the country's efforts to move towards zero emissions and prioritize effective pollution management to safeguard public health.
