Italian energy company Eni SpA is considering selling a 20% stake in its Enilive biorefining unit, valued at about €10 billion, after receiving interest from potential buyers like BlackRock and Macquarie. The company's reorganization strategy includes selling stakes in various units to fund its transition to gas and renewable energy, following the sale of a stake in the Plenitude green unit in 2023. Enilive, which includes biorefining and biomethane assets, saw a 27% increase in earnings in the first quarter of 2024.
