Recently, frequent heavy rains have stabilized the water levels at Renyi and Lan-Tan Reservoirs, with a storage capacity nearing 80%. In light of this, the city government has decided to resume the beloved Lan-Tan Music Fountain shows on the evening of June 21st at 7:30 PM, coinciding with the summer solstice. This fountain, with a length and height of up to 50 meters, has been in operation for over 8 years and is the largest permanent music fountain in Taiwan. Showtimes are scheduled for summer (April to September) and winter (October to March), featuring three nightly summer shows at 7:30 PM, 8:30 PM, and 9:30 PM, and an additional 6:30 PM show in winter, with each show lasting 10 minutes. Visitors planning a day trip to Chiayi City can enjoy various surrounding attractions like Sanxin Pavilion, Yueying Tanxin, Gen Park, and the Lakeside Trail, with options for bike rentals and visits to the historic Chiayi University Lan-Tan Campus and its attractions.
