Taiwan FDA has imported a total of 880,000 bags of saline solution over the past two weeks to address the shortage caused by a major manufacturer's production halt due to non-compliance with regulations. This additional supply, combined with domestic production increase, exceeds one million bags in total. The FDA has distributed the saline solution to 174 medical institutions so far, ensuring no shortages at any hospitals but affecting their inventories. Measures are being taken to address the supply issue of saline solution for injection, which is estimated to resolve by October with improved domestic production and the manufacturer's compliance.
