Despite the summer break, enterovirus is still prevalent in Taiwan. In a pediatric outpatient clinic in Taichung Hospital, it was observed that 70% of young patients, aged 1-7 years, were infected with enterovirus. Three brothers from the same family were diagnosed with 'enterovirus herpangina' at the same time, with the youngest suffering from a hole in his throat, making it painful for him to drink even water. The doctor recommended parents inquire about the timely vaccination against enterovirus to prevent severe complications like encephalitis.
