ESPN and Disney Channels are Back on DirecTV After 2-Week Blackout

Reported 25 days ago

DirecTV has struck a deal with Walt Disney Co. to restore ESPN and ABC stations, following a nearly two-week blackout affecting millions of viewers due to a carriage fees dispute. The resolution allows viewers to watch college football on ESPN and the Emmy Awards broadcast, which had been unavailable across several major cities since the beginning of September. Although financial terms were not disclosed, the agreement includes provisions for DirecTV to offer Disney's streaming services both a la carte and in bundles.
