Estonia's ruling center-right Reform Party has selected Climate Minister Kristen Michal to replace outgoing Prime Minister Kaja Kallas. The decision comes after Kallas was appointed as the European Union's new foreign policy chief. Michal's nomination for the top job still needs to be approved by the President and the Parliament, where the coalition holds a majority. Michal, known for his domestic political experience, aims to focus on national security, economic competitiveness, and revising the government program under his leadership.
