Asset managers are hopeful for the SEC's approval of the first US Ether ETFs by mid-July, with talks remaining constructive. Although initially expected during the July 4 holiday week, the SEC extended the submission deadline for updated paperwork to July 8. Feedback from the SEC has been positive, and various firms, including BlackRock and Fidelity, have filings awaiting approval for Ether ETFs. If approved, the demand for Ether portfolios is a key consideration following the success of US spot-Bitcoin ETFs earlier this year. Ether's value has risen by around 50% in 2024, and asset managers anticipate approval within the next couple of weeks.
