The European Commission has informed Microsoft of possible antitrust violations for bundling Teams collaboration software with its popular Office productivity suite, which could hinder market competition. The EU claims that by integrating Teams into Office 365 and Microsoft 365, Microsoft is depriving consumers of the option to choose other communication tools, giving Teams an unfair advantage. If found guilty, Microsoft could face significant fines of up to 10% of its annual revenue, which amounts to around $76.9 billion based on Microsoft's latest annual revenue of $236.6 billion.
