The European Commission has asked three major pornography sites, including Pornhub, XVideos, and Stripchat, to provide information on the measures they have implemented to protect minors and prevent gender-based violence in accordance with the Digital Services Act. These sites, classified as 'very large online platforms,' must respond by July 4 or face fines. The EU is particularly interested in the companies' efforts to prevent underage access, illegal content, and gender-based violence, as well as their compliance with the DSA's requirements for internal organization. Various countries, including France, Germany, Britain, and certain U.S. states, have introduced laws to verify users' age on such platforms, but concerns about privacy and discrimination persist.
