The European Union has adjusted its proposed tariffs on electric vehicles imported from China, adding provisional rates on top of the existing 10% duty. Other EV producers in China who cooperated with the investigation but were not sampled will face a 20.8% duty, while non-cooperating firms will deal with a 37.6% levy. The tariffs are set to be introduced in July, with definitive duties starting in November. China has threatened to retaliate with anti-dumping probes on imports like pork, as both sides discuss possible solutions compliant with WTO rules.
