Europe needs to allocate more resources towards defense manufacturing, according to the CEO of Airbus.

Reported 4 months ago

Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury emphasized the need for Europe to invest more in defense production, citing that the European Union purchases significantly fewer armaments than the United States and relies heavily on American-made products. Faury called for increased investment in production capacities within Europe to ensure readily available armaments and advocated for closer defense cooperation, including standardizing IT systems for defense projects like FCAS and GCAP. Additionally, he proposed the establishment of a security and defense agreement between the EU and the UK.
