European Gas Prices Rise Amid Supply Concerns

Reported 3 days ago

European natural gas prices saw a third consecutive weekly gain, climbing 4% due to declining stockpiles and reduced Russian gas flows through Ukraine. Bear in mind that current prices are close to a 14-month high at around €50 per megawatt-hour. The market faces challenges as supply tightens during the colder months, making stockpiling more difficult for the upcoming heating season. Experts predict continued high demand for gas storage, which may keep prices elevated in the near future.
