According to a report by the 'Qingnian Daily' on July 3, 2024, a European official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, revealed that Russia is collaborating with China to develop attack drones similar to Iran's 'Shahed' series, which are currently in the performance testing phase. This partnership underscores Beijing's continued support for Moscow, raising concerns among various parties. Although there is no evidence of these Chinese-made drones being deployed in frontline combat yet, Western officials are wary of the potential risks of China aiding Russia in producing attack drones at a faster rate than Iran and Russia. The US Ambassador to NATO, Smith, emphasized the importance of acknowledging the war risks brought by China's support for Russia, despite China's claims of neutrality in the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
