Elfyn Evans has fallen to third place in the World Rally Championship standings as Ott Tanak secured victory at Rally Italia Sardegna by a slim margin. Tanak overcame a 6.2-second gap behind Sebastien Ogier, who suffered a puncture on the final stage. Both Evans and Tanak now share 104 points, trailing Championship leader Thierry Neuville by 18 points. Neuville recovered from a setback on Saturday to extend his lead. The next event in the 13-race series is Rally Poland from June 27 to 30.
