Patrick Halligan, the former CFO of Archegos Capital Management, has reached an agreement with federal prosecutors for an eight-year prison sentence following his conviction for racketeering conspiracy and securities fraud related to the hedge fund's collapse in 2021. He is also ordered to pay $2.085 million in restitution and will remain free on bail during his appeal. Halligan's lawyer argued for a reduced sentence based on his character and lesser role in the firm's downfall, citing his warnings about the company's financial issues.
