Exclusive/药物短缺再现! 医生爆发儿童常用抗生素缺货!全台多家医院无法开出药

Reported 12 months ago

Recent shortages of medications in Taiwan continue as renowned physician Su Yifeng reveals a persistent shortage of the commonly used oral antibiotic syrup for children, Curam. Su pointed out that three manufacturers used to provide the medication, but now production from one Taiwanese company has ceased, and the other two foreign companies, Sandoz and GSK, are limiting supplies. Many hospitals across Taiwan, including medical centers, are unable to prescribe this medication to pediatric patients. This shortage adds to the existing concerns about medication shortages in Taiwan, including for cholesterol-lowering drugs and medications used for diabetes, cataracts, as well as basic medical supplies like saline solution for surgeries and dialysis.
