DoorDash from the U.S. showed interest in acquiring Deliveroo from the UK last month, but discussions ended due to a disagreement on valuation. Deliveroo's shares have seen a significant decline since its IPO in March 2021, attributed to decreased demand for online food delivery post-COVID-19 and investors favoring more profitable companies amidst higher interest rates. Amazon is Deliveroo's largest shareholder. DoorDash, with a market capitalization of $46.57 billion, has considered purchasing Deliveroo in 2022, diversifying outside the U.S. market. Both companies declined to comment on these reports.
