The Taiwan Ministry of National Defense's developed 'Reconnaissance Tactical Wheel Vehicle' in collaboration with the Industrial Technology Research Institute faced issues with engine power deficiency during off-road climbing tests, leading to considerations of upgrading the engine horsepower from 205 to 250. The vehicle, priced over 15 million NTD each, is causing debate within the military on self-development versus foreign procurement, awaiting a final decision from Minister of National Defense, Chiu Kuo-chou.
