In Hualien, a pair of brothers surnamed Zheng have been dining and dashing at various restaurants, affecting at least 6 businesses. One breakfast owner recounted that the siblings, claiming to be Tzu Chi University students, ordered over 400 NT dollars worth of meals and promised to return after class to pay but later blocked the restaurant's phone number. Another pancake shop owner reported that the brothers falsely claimed missing cheese in their dessert and demanded a free replacement. The incidents have sparked hot discussions on social media, with the police confirming receiving reports of the incidents.
