Exclusive: Public Uses Stamp Collection Activity to Ride 'Free Rides' on Taipei Metro, Metro Corporation Speaks Out!

Reported 12 months ago

Starting from July 1, Taipei Metro launched a digital stamp collection activity where participants can collect commemorative stamps at each station using their mobile phones and redeem limited edition metro souvenirs upon completion. However, some individuals have been exploiting the situation by requesting to enter and exit stations through the 'official door' to ride the metro for free. Taipei Metro has emphasized that the activity rules state that entering and exiting stations requires card swiping, and the 'official door' is only for station staff, cleaners, and group ticket holders. Measures are being taken to prevent such violations.
