Taiwan Tourism Association has chosen the current Secretary-General, Jian Yu-yan, to succeed the retiring Chairwoman, Ye Ju-lan, who is affectionately referred to as the “mother of the nation” within the Democratic Progressive Party. Jian, a former media reporter turned politician, has a background in media and has served in various capacities within the Taipei city government before taking on the role of Secretary-General of the Tourism Association. While the decision is pending official announcement after board approval, it is seen as a strategic choice due to Jian’s expertise and familiarity with the organization's operations.
