Following the rejection of the legislative review of parliamentary powers, the law took effect on Wednesday (June 26). The Executive Yuan decided today (27) to submit a petition for constitutional interpretation and interim measures, with the chair of the Law & Regulation Committee and appointed lawyer going to the Constitutional Court in the afternoon. Premier Su emphasized the necessity of filing a constitutional lawsuit to safeguard the democratic constitutional order and basic rights of the people, stating that the purpose is not to oppose parliamentary reform but to ensure legality and constitutionality through judicial proceedings.
