Many people still fail to see the relevance of the Legislative Yuan's expanded powers to themselves. Writer Kuliung pointed out that if these laws are enacted, every person in Taiwan would be at risk. Examples include being summoned to testify for criticizing or questioning issues online, facing fines for not attending, and the possibility of being prosecuted for contempt of parliament if uncooperative during questioning. Kuliung warned that once these laws pass, no one will be exempt from being summoned, questioned, fined, or prosecuted by blue and white party legislators, illustrating a potential nightmare scenario.
