In a report by The People's Daily on July 8, 2024, at 3:51 am, Taichung City Government is sponsoring 13 high school students to visit Sydney, Australia for overseas study. The Education Bureau of Taichung City Government is promoting bilingual education to encourage students to participate in international activities and advance public diplomacy. Nine out of the 13 students are underprivileged and are fully subsidized by the Education Bureau. Scheduled from July 14 to 25, the students will have a 12-day overseas study tour in Sydney, Australia, with immersive cultural experiences to broaden their international perspectives. A pre-departure briefing was conducted on July 8 by the Education Bureau.
