Reported 1 day ago

A joint report by J.D. Power and GlobalData indicates that U.S. new vehicle retail sales are projected to rise by 8.1% to 1.01 million units in February 2025. Despite this increase, retailers will face an 11.8% decline in profit per unit due to high dealer inventories and competition. The average retail transaction price for new vehicles has climbed to $44,619, while total sales, including retail and non-retail, are expected to reach 1.24 million, reflecting a 3.5% increase from the previous year.
