According to Dennis Gartman, chairman of the University of Akron’s Endowment Committee, inflation is expected to stabilize between 3% and 4% over the next two to three years, despite a recent Consumer Price Index showing a year-over-year increase of 2.7%. Gartman believes inflation will remain a persistent issue but anticipates a gradual slowing of inflationary pressures, leading to less aggressive interest rate cuts by the Federal Reserve in the near future.
